Macrochip Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech corporation dedicated to R&D and manufacturing of silicon photonics chips and optical transceivers for data centers and 5G networks. With the headquarters in Quanzhou, Macrochip also set up branch offices in Beijing Zhongguan Village and Wuhan Optical Valley.
Macrochip was founded in 2018, with a staff of over 200 people and a top-notch technical team in China. We have collaborated with overseas clients in Europe, America, Southeast Asia, and other regions, completing orders worth over 60 million US dollars.
Macrochip has developed a series of self-patented silicon photonics chips based on its innovative technologies on high-speed electro-optical modulation and high-efficiency optical coupling, which are featured with a compact package, low cost, low power consumption, and high extinction ratio. Our Factory
Macrochip invested 350 million RMB to build a 3500 square meter cleanroom facility in Quanzhou, China, which includes over 100 sets of various instruments and equipment. It can perform various processes such as chip testing, die attach or die bonding, wire-bonding, alignment, burn-in, module ASSY, and module testing. Macrochip has an annual production capacity of 200,000 high-speed optical modules.

To manufacture high-data-rate optical transceivers, various advanced equipment items are required. These include die-bonder, wire-bonders, optical alignment systems, wafer testing systems, and module testers.
We utilize high-precision positioning die-bonding machines supplied by globally renowned brands, such as Amicra and MRSI. This type of machine can achieve a placement accuracy of 1 micrometer, while simultaneously supporting a high-speed AuSn eutectic bonding process.
For high-volume throughput, a sophisticated and automatic wire-bonder is deployed in the production line. It not only boosts productivity but also ensures the reliability of bonding.
The performance of an optical module can be significantly impaired by an optical misalignment of even just a few micrometers. Thus, we implement active alignment technology in our high - precision alignment system. This system can adapt to diverse and complex process requirements.
When it comes to wafer and module testing, we collaborate with ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) suppliers to develop customized testers. These testers support the specific measurements required by customers as well as for our own designed wafers.
Additionally, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is employed to achieve meticulous management of the production line, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality output throughout the manufacturing process.
